The Story

A lifelong passion for
extraordinary animals

Steiner Herpetoculture was born from a childhood obsession with reptiles that never faded. After years in the hobby, breeding ball pythons, green tree pythons, and other species, we're returning with the knowledge and intention that a serious operation demands.

Every animal we produce is raised with the same obsessive care we'd want for our own collection. We don't cut corners on husbandry, genetics, or the homes our animals go to.

Based in Saratoga Springs, Utah — and driven by a long-term mission toward reptile conservation.

Green Tree
Python
Morelia viridis
The crown jewel of the python world. Locality green tree pythons represent some of the most sought-after animals in herpetoculture — Sorong, Biak, Aru, Jayapura. CITES Appendix II and a flagship species for our conservation mission.
The hobby exists to serve the animals — not the other way around.
— Our Philosophy

Why It Matters

Built on three pillars

01
Ethical Husbandry
Every animal in our collection receives species-appropriate housing, enrichment, and feeding protocols. We document our husbandry openly and stand behind the health of every animal we produce.
02
Conservation Breeding
Green tree pythons face increasing pressure in the wild from habitat destruction and collection pressure. Responsible captive breeding reduces demand on wild populations. Our long-term goal is a formal nonprofit dedicated to GTP conservation.
03
Community Education
We believe an educated hobby is a better hobby. We share our methods, our mistakes, and our knowledge freely — through content, at expos, and with every customer who takes home one of our animals.

Join the
Waitlist

Our first jungle carpet clutch is expected later this year. Waitlist members get first access to available animals before any public listing — along with updates on our GTP program as it develops.

No spam. Unsubscribe anytime. Animals go to waitlist first.
